Retired laptops and digital cameras wanted!

Are you aware that many inner-city schools and classes taught in remote locations often provide students with a single disposable camera for their entire photography unit because there is a lack of funding to update or upgrade classroom technology? Are you a tech hoarder who can't bear to part with things unless you know they're going to a good place? Send us the technology collecting dust in your home, office, or studio!

Rare Earth Outreach accepts retired (but still functional*) laptops, digital cameras (any brand or model as long as it's digital**), and cell phones with working cameras, puts them to good use, AND sends you a tax receipt for fair market value***.

Please send your older (but still functional*) technology to:

The Fine Print:

*Rare Earth Outreach cannot issue tax receipts for technology that is not in proper working order and therefore does not hold a Fair Market Value. To avoid this frustration, please ensure that your technology is in good repair, comes with a working battery and battery charger, and/or the correct power cables/cords. If, upon receipt, we cannot use your laptop or digital camera, we cannot issue a charitable tax receipt and will not return the defective equipment without prepaid return postage.

** We are sorry but we are not accepting film cameras at this time, though if you have an older film camera with a fair market value that we can use (for example) as a coveted item for a prize or silent auction, we will gladly take it off your hands.

***Donations that hold no fair market value, have not been sent with instructions for pre-paid returns, and cannot be used will be recycled and/or disposed of in accordance with local environmental laws.

Not sure if what you want to declutter is what we are looking for? Send us an email and let us help you determine if your last upgrade is worth donating! You can contact us here.
